Volunteers are always needed and welcomed in any of the following areas. (If you have questions, please call the church office at 392-7990.)
Fundraising
HBC’s Fundraising committee fondly refers to themselves as the “funraising” committee. They are a group of fun-loving, outgoing people who like to be creative in a way that results in raising funds for the church and its many endeavors. During 2024 and 2025, the focus has been on hosting entertainment acts, selling candy bars, Christmas Wreaths, hosting a Pet Blessing event and much more.
Benefits of joining this committee include creating new friendships, having fun, and socializing! Social Butterflies are encouraged to apply.
Fundraising meets every month on the third Wednesday from 10 am till Noon at the church. They are always looking for people who can brainstorm creative ideas and ask that people be available 2 – 5 hours a month. For more info, please email the church office at hbchurch50@gmail.com.

Giving Table
ABOUT OUR GIVING TABLE:
Most months we ask for gifts for a special organization. Every other month, that organization is the Hilton-Parma Food Shelf. The other months are selected based on our current understanding of their needs. In the past, we’ve donated to Journey Home, the Aurora House, Cameron Community, the Hilton Clothing Closet, Cadet Cupboard, Coffee Connection – amongst others. Please check out this month’s Banner here for this month’s Giving Table Wish List.
Note: Please consider giving a little extra to the church or an organization of your choice.
There are many struggling to meet the needs of the community at this time.
And, remember, prayers are welcomed for all our doctors (including those taking care of our four legged family), nurses, police, firefighters, pharmacists, store clerks, gas station attendants, bank employees, blood donors, and, as you can see, the list goes on and on… God is beside us, before us, below us, above us, behind us … Talk to him and lift our community in prayer …

Drug & Alcohol Addiction Resources in NYS
It’s been estimated that nearly 500,000 residents of New York State use hard drugs like cocaine and heroin, and another one million have an alcohol use disorder. As a consequence, 14% of all deaths in the state of New York in the last 10 years were due to alcohol and drugs, and in 2016 there were over 9,000 crashes involving drivers who were under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
If you or a loved one is struggling with addiction, this website has information on rehab centers in NYS.
Mental Health Resources
The side effects of life in modern society, combined with the on-going coronavirus pandemic, have turned mental health into a growing global concern. If you feel increased levels of stress or depression but don’t have the financial means to pay for an in-person or online therapist, you might consider free online therapy.
