Dear Friends and Family of Hilton Baptist Church,
Before you read any further grab your calendar and a pen. I’ll be right here waiting for you when you get back.

Ok, welcome back. Do you have your pen and calendar? Great. Now add this to your calendar:
PeopleMap. Saturday September 16 at Hilton Baptist Church. Time – 9:00-12:00
I know that date seems a long way off but I wanted to be sure you got it on your calendar. A few months ago,
a member of our congregation suggested that we as a church participate in a seminar called “People Mapping.”
After some discussion about this program and how it would be beneficial to our church, we all agreed this would
be a great program to offer.
Here is a description of the People Mapping Seminar that I pulled from their website:
“The PeopleMap System is designed to develop your people skills. These skills apply to all areas of your
life – at work, home, and in all your relationships. This fun, simple and easy to use program gives you a
map that creates effective relationships and helps you solve conflict to work with others to reach your
goals. With PeopleMap, you will understand the four personality types, identify your personality type with
our online assessment, and connect with one of our certified trainers who help you and your employees use
this knowledge effectively.”
I think this program will be beneficial to us as a church in several ways: (1) It will help us to know ourselves
better (2) It will help us to know others better (3) It will help us to understand the reasons why others “act the
way that they do” (4) It will help us to realize what our natural tendencies are and the areas we can best serve
the church, as well as the areas that might not be suitable for us (5) It will be a fun opportunity for us to connect
with each other.
Nancy LePort, a woman well-known and well-loved in this church, will be facilitating the event. More details
will be coming, but for now I hope you will add it to your calendar and plan to be there!
