“Volunteers are always needed and welcomed in any of the following areas…” (If you have questions, please call the church office at 392-7990)
Hilton/Parma Community Clothes Closet
Volunteers from the church and community organize and staff the clothes closet which is located at the Hilton Baptist Church. The Hilton/Parma Community Clothes Closet is open every Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. – noon. (Closed July through 2nd week of August). Donations of New & Gently-Used clothing are always gratefully accepted.
The Giving Table is a collection of items which is devoted to a specific organization each month. Every other month, The Giving Table includes a focus on the Hilton/Parma Community Food Shelf. We’ve also provided items for the Aurora House, Journey Home, Fairport Baptist Homes, Cameron Community, and our service men and women, just to name a few.
It occurred to us that there are probably some contributors to the Giving Table who do not receive an e-mail update at the end of each month. We thought you might like to have a quick update on all of the items that we were able to pass along due to your generosity. (This is only for the Giving Table – and does not include your many generous donations to the Food Shelf, Outdoor Ministry, Journey Home – and any other that we may have missed.) August’s Giving Table will support the Hilton/Parma Community Food Shelf.
September’s Giving Table will support the Coffee Connection.
October’s Giving Table will support the Hilton/Parma Community Food Shelf.
Members of Hilton Baptist Church have shown their generosity in many ways – one is the continuing support for the local Food Shelf. We maintain a separate location to collect items that are needed. These are delivered several times a month to the Food Shelf. The Bulletin and Banner are used to let the congregation know of any specific needs. Additionally, a special November Harvest Collection is usually devoted to collecting items for the Food Shelf prior to Thanksgiving; and our monthly Communion offering is used to support the Christmas Basket program in December.
All are welcome to join us for fun and fellowship on Tuesday mornings (followed by lunch) and one Saturday a month, as we prepare food for church families in need and for special church events.
